Una directiva de configuración de Apache es un parámetro de configuración del Servidor Web.

Las directivas las podemos escribir de tres formas:
    Directamente en el fichero de configuración para que tengan efecto en todo el servidor.
  • [list]En un módulo o sección de configuración, afectando tambien a todo el servidor.[/list]
      En un fichero .htaccess, afectando solo a ese directorio y a los subdirectorios dependientes de él.


  • Un ejemplo de directiva es la siguiente:

    ExpiresActive On

    Este parámetro "ExpiresActive" lo que dice es que activa el modulo de Expires, que afecta a las funciones de cabeceras de expiración de os ficheros enviados desde el servidor web hacia los usuarios (headers) y el comportamiento de las caches que estan ecibiendo esos ficheros.
